First thing always remember air leaks are not your friend!!!
DFI SLI-DR. .Using the 3/16 inch neoprene lay the back plate on top.Push down to get a imprint for the holes, then cut the neoprene about a 1/2 inch longerall the way around the back plate.

Using the 1/8 white neoprene. Press the back plate into the neoprene to get a imprintfor the center square hole. Place in the side facing the the motherboard.

Die-electric grease the back of the motherboard. Don't be shy everything under the white neoprene.

Flip over the motherboard line up the holes on any back plate you are using the grease should help hold it in place. New x99 boards will be different since the black plate is built-in. The red line is the black neoprene

Fill all the pin holes with die-electric grease insert the CPU. Add your favorite thermal paste, add die-electric grease to all sides and edges. Remember air is not your friend!

Xeons first layer neoprene (door hangers 3/16) Add die-electric grease at all the cuts around the socket. And a second layer of sticky back weather stripping 3/16.

AMD 64 CPU you will need to add spacers and longer screws. To match the thickness of the insulation on the water blocks. I used 3 inch screws and drilled holes in the back plate of the case. Made it very easy to attach the blocks. Add die-electric grease to the joints in the weather stripping. After the weather stripping is pushed down and seated. Use the putty knife to wipe off any grease that squeezed out around the chip edges.

Hard part you will need do the math on how long of a spacer to add. I measure the block before insulation. That is a Swiftech 6002 water in my opinion the best water block ever made! I did mod the brackets and kept using that block until I upgraded to the 2011-3 socket. I wish they were still making it for the 2011-3 sockets I would still be using it!

Then the block with insulation. You need to squeeze it to get and idea of how much it will compress. Plus don't forget to add 3/16 for the neoprene added to the back plate. And the thickness of the original mounting plate you removed (top plate) I added 1 1/8 inche of additional spacers.
